I compare the original Resident Evil 2 (I use the Gamecube version) to the 2019 Remake. The PS1 version from 1998 was even more pixelated than the Gamecube version, but the difference between the remake and the original games should be clear enough. As you can see in the video, it was relatively difficult for me to move precisely in the original game, especially turning around takes forever, but that adds to the horror flair.

Its kind of wild that this takes place in a gas station and you never even see the price of the gas outside. Like you walk through the entire place and not once are you aware of how much 87 gas costs. Seems a little fishy to me. Resident Evil 2 2019 is a wonderful game that recaptures the survival horror gameplay of the classics. But as a remake, it fails to recreate and improve on the original in many different ways. Yet it doesn’t do enough to separate itself as a full reimagining either.
